Penguin Cold Therapy Chiller with Filter Kit
Whether you are new to cold therapy or a seasoned pro, you are likely doing it for the benefits that exposure to cold offers rather than the physical workout you’ll get from lugging all the ice needed to keep up with it. Let's face it – keeping up with the amount of ice needed to keep an ice bath cold can get to be quite the burden. Our chiller will keep your ice bath cold effortlessly, this should lead to more consistent and frequent usage. Make the most out of your ice bath by turning it into an iceless bath!
The chiller can reach into the low 40F’s, even down into high 30F’s with the right conditions. Ambient temps and sun exposure account for the majority of the heat load on a cold therapy tub (your body heat is insignificant compared to the sun). Reducing the external heat load will improve chiller performance. Low to mid 40F’s should be possible on a most +/-100 gallons setup even in full sun / less than ideal conditions. Our cold therapy chillers can be used indoors and outdoors, except in freezing conditions
Cost to Run (lower than most expect):
At $0.12/KWh, the monthly cost of operation should be around $18-$28/month. The compressor and fan only turn on when cooling is needed, once the water reaches your set point they turn off and only the low-wattage pump continues to run.
A common question we get revolves around setting the chiller up on a timer. Ideally you’ll want to keep the water cold at all times. There’s a few reasons for this –
Cold water keeps bacteria (slimy walls) largely under control by slowing or stopping their growth. This significantly reduces the amount of maintenance needed to keep your water clean for longer periods of time. This means less frequent water changes and that much lower levels of sanitizer being an effective doses (chlorine/hydrogen peroxide/etc).
If you are using it on a regular basis the amount of potential power savings will be fairly insignificant, the heat it would gain in the “off” period still needs to be removed when you turn it back on. So if running is normally cost $18-$28/month you might be able to save $3-$5/month. However have to change water and the filter more often so it is unlikely to be a net cost savings.
When you cut power to the chiller you also cut power to the pump. Pumps get the most wear and tear during startup, that’s when a pump is most likely to fail as well. Cycling the power to the chiller is just adding unnecessary wear and tear to the pump.
*Please note your setup needs to gravity prime to the pump, the pump is not capable of self-priming/suction. Place the chiller within 3' of the drain of your tub, the bottom of the chiller should be at the same or lower height compared to the bottom of your tub – do not elevate the chiller above the tub. An overly long tubing run from the tub drain to the chiller inlet may cause the pump to fail to move enough water.

3) Within 7 days of the ship date, the order cannot be canceled
4) For all Canadian Timber Collection products, Dealers will have 24 hours to cancel the order for

Order Change Policy
1) Up to 14 days from order entry – you can edit/change the order without penalty
2) After 14 days, a $65.00 edit/change fee would apply (item#: ORDCHA)
a. Examples: adding or removing products, adding or removing options, changing the ship to address, changing the shipping method, etc.
3) Within 7 days of the ship date, the order cannot be edited or changed
4) After the product has shipped, if the Dealer/Customer wants to change the ship to address, a $250 fee will apply (#ADDCHANGE)
5) For all Canadian Timber Collection products, Dealers will have 24 hours to change the order for
the $65.00 change fee (item#: ORDCHA). After 24 hours, the order can not be changed.
Return Policy
1) Our stated return policy is: We do not accept returns
a. It is very expensive to return products back across the border
2) If a product must be returned to the factory, the following will apply:
a. 20% Restocking fee
b. Dealer/customer will be responsible for any and all shipping costs to the factory
c. Products must be returned in their original packaging and condition
d. Leisurecraft will inspect the product upon return and Leisurecraft will be the sole
decider of the condition of the product and the amount of the refund
Customer Refusal to Accept Delivery
1) If a customer refuses delivery and the Dealer asks Leisurecraft for assistance in selling the product to another Dealer, the following will apply:
a. 15% Restocking charge
b. Dealer will be responsible for all shipping and rerouting costs to the new delivery
address

Everything went well overall, starting with delivery earlier than projected. But the info re: the hard wiring required was not exacting, need to bring electrician back to complete connection for conventional heater that could have been avoided, extra cost incurred. Panels and hardware to put together were exacting though, so kudos for that!
Eric and John were outstanding in helping me pick the perfect unit and heater. The purchasing process and delivery process was seamless. My husband did build this himself, and there were some issues with the instructions specifically the detailed components of the build and the wiring .
It would be beneficial too many Dyi’r if the heating company HUUM drop had more specific directions specific to this sauna. It took us about a week and a half to build it from start to finish. Looking forward to using the unit.
Purchased a sauna from Eric and John they were great customer service reps. The entire process with Nordica sauna has been incredible. My husband did build this and it took a decent amount of time would recommend that Sona life and the developers of the HUUM drop heater partner together to make instructions more clear there were many things that were quite challenging with the details of the unit and the wiring. Overall, very pleased.
Sauna is built and product is sound and enjoyable over the last two weeks, the process from ordering to receiving was an abundance of trouble.
Starting with the ordering process i was told of cost and yes it would be delivered to my residence ( live on an island with 10 min car ferry). After multiple calls and boarder line harassment was told it would be an additional 1000,00 to deliver to address. Upon threatening to cancel order MGR John contacted me to say yes they could deliver at an additional 250.00 cost and would i be willing to write a additional review if he threw in the water bucket and temp gages maybe even the cleaning product. I said yes go with my order and let’s get it done. Well weeeks later without i had to research and make calls to the independent driver that would deliver sauna, to keep from making this a very long story, sauna delivered and crashed onto my property driveway. Entire crate was dropped from truck.fast forward all parts intact and i transported to site of sauna , overlooking a cliff on the water. Brothers weekend helped with the build. It takes three able bodied men to build. In some cases two to hold walls and one to drill screws.must emphasize it had no clear directions on building process, measurements are also in 7.32 inches ( example). Who does that. Watched many Utube videos to complete construction.
Review would be much worse but I am quite happy with the product.
Lastly build time was every bit of 14 hours non stop with the three of us.
First Nordica: They have been top notch to work with as a reseller. I have appreciated the service, availability to chat with consistent support personnel (go Eric!), and the shipping / delivery were painless and high quality.
Second SaunaLife: The sauna itself meets my expectations, which were high. Great quality, follows Loyly, the Finnish sauna principles, and I am anticipating a fantastic experience once I can get the damned thing put together. The instructions couldn't be worse, they make Ikea look great, and you need VERY skilled labor and a very good electrician. At one point you need 3 people for about 30 minutes. So far it has taken 18 man hours and we have another 6 in our future. This time could have been cut in half with discernible instructions. There are a couple decent videos online but SuaunaLife needs to get their act together and either film an instruction video professionally or improve their written instructions by a LOT.
Nordica is great, let's not forget that.

Everything arrived promptly, even before promised. I was surprised how easily it was to put together. My husband and I did it in less than 2 hours. It heats up fast despite the fact its in our garage. My family came for the holiday and everyone enjoyed at least one visit to the sauna.
Loving it! While the setup had it's moments the end result looks great. We're able to get it quite hot with it being 20 degrees outside.
I am very pleased with Both the sauna and the heating system. Very effective and easy to use. Plus, the team at Nordica sauna absolutely delivered as promised.
I wish it would get up to 180 but we love it anyway! Wonderful support and follow up. My only issue is there are two very small gaps between the floor and left and right walls that let cool air in.

I purchased a sauna from Costco and had a horrible experience from the start. Ended up returning it a two months later with out ever getting missing parts shipped out.
I tried Nordica and experienced a great level of service and communication. Concerns were addressed and communication was quick and prompt. The product was much better quality and would recommend them to anyone.
I did months, if not years of research on home saunas. I ultimately landed on this one, both for the quality and offerings of this sauna, but also the excellent customer service. I also wrestled with traditional vs. infrared. Let’s just say I could not have made a better choice. I’m a very experienced sauna user, and this thing gets me sweatier than any sauna I’ve ever sat in. Ordering was a breeze, shipping was very fast and efficient, and set up was under an hour. Thing heats up quickly and is spacious enough for me wife and I to Enjoy. Looks amazing, smells amazing, speakers are awesome. If you’re on the fence, let this be the push you need.

Growing up with a Sauna in Europe, it was time to build our own little spa oasis… after shopping around there was no better partner than Nordica Sauna and the Cl7G for us. From the first contact with Nordica Sauna through making the right selection of accessories and heater - every contact has been superb, helpful and simple excellent. I assembled the CL7G in 2 days by myself and we absolutely love it. Instructions could use a touch up but are manageable.
I have built a little platform to hold the Sauna, a outdoor shower, tub and resting pad, probably will add a little snack table to fully round it off but we are super happy, the quality of the Sauna, the support and of course the end product… we have decided to add a wood burning stove instead of electric and it definitely was the right decision. The sauna heats up fast, the crackling and light from the fire adds an extra level of comfort and romance…
To be quite honest, the installation process was an absolute nightmare. Well, I understand there are many many parts. This really needs to be professionally installed, and somebody on their own would not be able to do this without a qualified electrician and a contractor that has experienced building Saunas
I did a lot of research regarding the type of sauna and which brand to buy
It came down to several good options, and I went with the CL5G kit from Sauna Life. I don't regret my decision at all
It is a great-looking product and functions very well. We used a HUUM Drop 7.5 Kw heater with Wi-Fi control, and it easily heats the sauna to 175 degrees or higher
The only downside was the instructions on assembly - they were poor at best BUT there are several great videos on YOU TUBE which I recommend you watch and take notes on, and it will save you some aggravation with assembly
In one advertisement, they suggested you could assemble it in a day. Maybe if you have done a 1000, but it took 2 of us 4 days to complete the job working about 4 hours a day

I went with conventional heat as all my research suggested the sweet spot for most of the benefits (and there are a lot) is 165 to 205 degrees, which infrared has a hard time reaching
We use the sauna 4 to 6 times a week for 20 minutes and already have had less muscle pain, better sleep and more energy (just after the sauna it really knocks us out for an hour or two)
Great product
Beast of a heater. Works well. Be fore warned it takes a minute to heat up with so much stone. About an hour for our size with a 6k to 196 degrees. The app is slow to respond to commands, as if the unit only checks in with the wi-fi every 30 seconds or so. For instance, you slide on the light switch on the app and it take about 30 seconds to turn on. Also, you can only turn on the light with the app. Not an option on the wall control.
I am enjoying the new sauna. The sales and fulfillment process went great. While I had a handyman put it together, he said it went quite smoothly. I now am enjoying the sauna and it is working great!

Super nice and it gets very hot. 30 min is enough time for a session. it is way better to let it warm up for 20 before going in. So glad I got this. You do not have to worry about cleaning this after use unlike one of those small portable steam saunas. Perfect size as well.
I ordered from Nordica Sauna online and super pleased with them. They had the model I wanted. Matthew helped me out and gave me a great deal along with 2 free back rests. It was delivered quickly and in perfect shape. Set up was a total breeze and I did it myself, however it would be slightly easier with another person. This sauna is solid and super well made. I recommend putting small felt sliders on the contact points on the base to protect your flooring, plus you can adjust it easily. Well worth it!!
